Washington County Records Contacts

Washington County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody or release, post bond, or retrieve official booking records. Use the appropriate public office below for a live status question or an existing record request.

Finding the Right Records Office

Contact the custodian that created or holds the record. Sheriff Blake Andis leads the Washington County Virginia Sheriff’s Office, which is the county route for Sheriff-created agency records and requests. SWVRJA holds regional-jail custody material. A court case is the source for a disposition after booking.

Use the countywide records path for the full sequence. For current or recently released regional-jail status, start with SWVRJA’s official roster path. For Sheriff-created reports or other agency material, contact the Sheriff’s Office. For a later Washington County case outcome, use the official Virginia court case system. The Virginia Department of Corrections locator is for state custody and supervision, not every new county booking.

  • For an existing booking photograph or booking record, identify the person, approximate date, and arresting agency, then ask the actual custodian for the record.
  • For current regional-jail custody, use the SWVRJA search path and contact the jail for time-sensitive confirmation.
  • For a recently released person, use the portal’s available released selection when applicable, then request the underlying record if it is not online.
  • For a state-prison or state-supervision question, use the VADOC locator rather than the county jail roster.
  • For a federal or immigration custody question, use the official BOP locator or ICE locator, each of which has a separate scope from Washington County records.
